Captain Cruise has acquired the Belgian company Go For Cruise. Go For Cruise is the specialist in guided Dutch-speaking group tours. The company has been doing this successfully and in a unique way for almost 18 years, says Captain Cruise, which has two branches, one in the Netherlands and one in Belgium. In addition, Captain Cruise has a Cruise-Outlet label in the Netherlands. “The remarkable thing is that there is no other party in Belgium or the Netherlands that can do this,” says Robert Pieter Gardenier, CEO of Captain Cruise. Didier Broothaers, who owned Go For Cruise, will stay on as director. The staff will also be included in the takeover. The company’s vision and way of doing business remains unchanged. “I am convinced that the acquisition of Go For Cruise will be an added value for Captain Cruise,” says Gardenier. ‘Didier and I are on the same wavelength in terms of ideas and we see many synergy opportunities for both companies. For example, Go For Cruise will be added to the building of Captain Cruise Belgium. In addition, in 2024, Captain Cruise will move to a new building in Belgium that is many times larger and where the customer can be served even better. For example, there will be a travel agency where customers can be received.’ Go For Cruise’s main USP in terms of accompaniments remains intact.
