This year, the Vakantiebeurs has approximately 1,000 square meters more stand space on the floor than in 2023. That’s according to exhibition manager Marleen Rompen, who provides an update on request. The Jaarbeurs in Utrecht will be the setting for the Vakantiebeurs next week. The kick-off is on Wednesday 10 January with the Trade Day, also referred to as the Travel Trade Day. The whole week is dedicated to activities related to travel, under the motto Dutch Travel Week. Exhibition manager Rompen gives the latest news. A couple of points. For example, the Taste of Travel Food Tour is back. ́Visitors go on a real culinary tour around the world. It’s great to see that exhibitors respond so enthusiastically to give visitors this experience.’ According to Rompen, the ANVR has a nice route on the exhibition floor in which all ANVR members present participate. Signs are being made for this and members can pick them up during the build-up. The Dutch Travel Week Festival programme has been given substance with performances, workshops, lectures and a grand prize festival for the Princess Máxima Centre. Reiswerk will hold the Travel Talent Event on Thursday 11 January. ‘On this day, a lot of future employees will be present at Vakantiebeurs. They all have a CV with them, so take your HR team and vacancy overview with you,’ says Rompen. All travel professionals can sign up for the Travel Trade Day via the Travel Trade Day newsletter or via an invitation from one of the Vakantiebeurs exhibitors. The account managers of Vakantiebeurs can help with questions about this. On Friday 12 January, all exhibitors can invite their important relations, customers, partners and employees for drinks at the stand from 17:00 to 19:00. Relations have free access to Vakantiebeurs from 15.00 hrs. From 16:00 to 20:00 there is the Vakantiebeurs VrijMiBo at the Dutch Travel Week Festival with the Brotherhood & Qmusic Maximum Hit Hour with Menno Barreveld. Rompen: ‘Of course, everyone is invited. Our account managers at Vakantiebeurs can help with any questions.’ The Holiday Fair will be held from Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 January, open daily from 10:00 to 17:00. On Friday evening, the fair is open until 20:00 with a relationship event. On Wednesday 10 January, the Travel Trade Day will take place. TRAVel Media, publisher of TravMagazine and Travelpro, among others, is a media partner of the Travel Trade Day and sponsors the drinks after the Travel Trade Day.
