After a thorough renovation, the new TUI shop in the Gouweplein shopping center in Waddinxveen will be officially opened this weekend. The store had already opened its doors earlier this month. The official opening will take place on Friday afternoon by alderman Albert Kerssies. Throughout the weekend there will be (win) promotions for customers. After a number of years of absence, TUI is back on the streets of Waddinxveen. The shop has been open since February 12 and has a team of experienced and enthusiastic travel advisors who are ready to give tailor-made advice and take care of trips down to the last detail, TUI reports. ‘The shop is a place where you can get inspiration for your holiday while enjoying a cup of coffee, but where you can also have a beautiful trip put together in privacy. Of course, you can choose from TUI’s complete range, but you can also book the offer of other travel providers at TUI Waddinxveen.’ Regional Manager Astrid van der Zwaag is enthusiastic about the new shop: ‘We are very proud that we have been able to open this beautiful store in this beautiful place in Waddinxveen. The Gouweplein shopping center is the perfect location for us. We are happy to be back in Waddinxveen after a few years of absence. In recent weeks we have already noticed that we are very welcome here. I cordially invite everyone to drop by. The coffee is ready.’ TUI consciously invests in travel agencies as an important part of its omnichannel strategy.
‘In this strategy, online and offline coexist. The 136 shops spread throughout the Netherlands give the brand a face and are close to the customer. And the travel agency knows how to find that customer (again) more and more. People need certainty, personal attention and advice. And for that, they can now also turn to TUI Waddinxveen.’ Photo: the TUI Waddinxveen team (Photo TUI).
