Sylvia Raijmakers and Angelique van Schaijk (Face2Face Travel Agency) have introduced a new label: 70PlusReizen, the ideal travel partner for seniors.
The offer includes group tours for seniors who love to travel and want to enjoy luxury and comfort.
‘The over-70s, or the vive elderly, are central.’ The ladies were approached some time ago by Prof. Dr. Ir. Kasper Boon (founder of 60plusplaza) with the idea of organizing trips for people over 70. ‘I have known him for a long time, he has a broad network in associations for the elderly throughout the Netherlands and told me that there is a great need for luxury and comfortable travel specifically for this age group. The more we heard about it, the more enthusiastic we became, and that’s why we founded the label 70PlusReizen.’ Sylvia says that the offer of 70PlusReizen consists of comfortable and luxurious trips. ‘In addition, they are always small groups, so we can guarantee personal attention. The trips are guided by experienced people, so we can provide a hassle-free trip and make sure no one feels left out. Social interaction is also very important to us. In this age category, it can happen that people are left to fend for themselves, because their partner has passed away and they therefore prefer not to go on holiday ‘among the couples’ anymore, but would like to. For these people, 70PlusReizen is the ideal label; Attention is paid to solo travellers.’ ‘But perhaps the most important point is that the pace has been adapted to the target group. There will be plenty of time for rest and relaxation. You will not encounter long bus distances with us, such a ride will be divided. Another USP is that everything is included, such as excursions, activities, and meals. With 70PlusReizen, we also focus on more luxurious trips by not choosing budget hotels, but rather accommodations right in the center so that people don’t have to walk far.’ In this age category, it is of course possible that one person is less able to walk than the other, but that is also taken into account. ‘We take a number of walkers with us, but even then we take the pace into account. The only condition we set is that a participant is healthy. We don’t offer medical care.’ The first group trip is planned for next month, Sylvia and Angelique will guide this trip themselves who will go to England. ‘This is going to be a really nice trip, we will also go out with a steam train and enjoy a typical English high tea. We’re really looking forward to it.’ The offer of 70PlusReizen can currently only be booked for the customers of Sylvia and Angelique’s travel agency, Face2Face Travel Agency in Geldrop, but the ladies are already overwhelmed with enthusiastic reactions from both consumers and colleagues. ‘We are already toying with the idea of having the label sold by other Face2Face Travel colleagues as well. We’re not there yet, we’ve just started and the label isn’t set up for a nationwide sale yet. But we do not rule out that this will happen in the short term. Because, let’s create unforgettable memories together.’
