Train traffic to and from Schiphol will run according to an adjusted timetable until 4 December. These adjustments can vary from day to day, says the NS. In the coming weeks, work will be carried out on the platform at Schiphol Airport station. This is part of a major refurbishment of the station that will last until 2028. The entire track in the Schiphol Tunnel will be replaced, says ProRail. ‘Schiphol Airport station is busy. Both in terms of trains and in terms of train passengers. That is why the railway around Schiphol must be well maintained. We are now doing this with the Major Maintenance Schiphol project so that the track and the tunnels can last another forty years.’ The track at the station will be raised so that boarding and disembarking will be at ground level. The station will be closed for some work. The NS will then deploy buses to and from the airport. (Photo Shutterstock).
