MSC Cruises has canceled the entire winter program of MSC Orchestra, scheduled to operate in the Red Sea from Nov. 8, 2023, to April 17, 2024. This is done in light of the current geopolitical situation and to ensure the safety of its passengers and crew, MSC said. For the same reasons, the shipping company is also making changes to some of its other routes. MSC Cruises said some national governments have issued negative travel advisories for certain areas and, in addition, travel restrictions have been imposed by local authorities on some destinations. The winter program for MSC Sinfonia (from Nov. 12, 2023 to April 15, 2024) has been canceled because the ship’s main highlight was the destination Haifa in Israel. There are some minor changes to the itineraries of the major voyages for MSC Virtuosa, MSC Opera and MSC Splendida and in two 11-night sailings for MSC Armonia. Passengers affected by the changes will be able to move their cruise from a similar length to another ship and route, or request a full refund.
