Miles B. M. Mercera, CEO of Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) since July 2021, has announced his departure. Mercera has decided to step down from his position at the end of this year, he says on LinkedIn. He does this with mixed feelings. It is not yet known what he will do next. “While this decision was not easy, I believe the timing is right to explore new opportunities and give new leadership the opportunity to bring new visions to TCB,” he says. ‘In the coming months, my focus will be on ensuring a smooth transition and completing key projects, including the 2025 Action Plan, the launch of JetBlue and Corendon, the Tourism Summit in September 2024 and the Regatta Festival 2024.’ Mercera continued: “I am immensely grateful for the trust, support and opportunities I have been given during my tenure. Thank you to the dedicated team at TCB and all our partners. I look forward to the future and continue to support tourism on Bonaire in new ways.’
