Due to a strike on the German railways, there will be no international trains to Germany, Austria and Switzerland on Friday. German railway employees have stopped work since 10 p.m. on Thursday evening. They are demanding higher wages and shorter working hours. The strike will last until Friday evening at 10 p.m. Thousands of trains in Germany are expected to be cancelled. The strike in Germany therefore also affects international train traffic from the Netherlands. This has consequences, among other things, for Dutch travellers who fly from German airports and use the train to reach that airport.
