Dorothea Born, author of the book ‘My Indian Name Was White Apple’ and since last year affiliated with Travel Counsellors as an America travel specialist, has handed over the first copy of the second edition of her book to Fred van Eijk, managing director and founder of Travel Counsellors Netherlands.
At a celebratory gathering, Dorothea shared her experiences in the book, which chronicles her adventures with the Navajos in Monument Valley.
As a travel specialist at Travel Counsellors, she uses her extensive knowledge and passion for America to create tailor-made trips for her clients.
Van Eijk praised Dorothea’s dedication and courage to put her experiences on paper and emphasized how well she fits in with Travel Counsellors.
“Travel Counsellors is all about experience.
Anyone can book a trip from A to B, but it’s all about being able to add the feeling and experience to a trip.
Dorothea does this in an exceptional way, and her book is a wonderful example of this.
Dorothea’s book offers an in-depth insight into Navajo culture and the experience of Monument Valley.
Her expertise as an America travel specialist is a great asset to our team.’
