Explora Journeys, the luxury lifestyle brand of the MSC Group, has announced sailings for EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II through April 2026. The range of cruises varies from shorter trips, from 6 to 8 nights, to longer trips from 19 to 21 nights. The shipping company offers accessible home ports, such as Barcelona, Civitavecchia/Rome, Miami or Bridgetown. The trips have been carefully designed to allow for a slower pace of travel and give travelers the opportunity to spend more time in each destination with overnight stays in port. That way, they have plenty of time to get to know the local culture and environment, says the shipping company. MSC Group CEO Pierfrancesco Vago says the company has listened carefully to feedback from customers, who say they are very satisfied. He himself has been involved in designing the new journeys, building on his own travel experiences, the personal touch that he believes is at the heart of Explora Journeys. “We now have shorter seven-night trips that are convenient for people who are short on time. We have made sure that we have easily accessible home ports. We know that time is precious. True luxury is about making memories.” EXPLORA I’s voyages (from October 2024 to April 2025) have been revised to allow the ship to sail in the Caribbean to support the brand’s growth in North America. The 2024-2025 winter season kicks off with a Grand Journey from Barcelona to the Caribbean, taking in Bridgetown, Pointe-à-Pitre, St John’s and San Juan. From April and November 2025, EXPLORA I will sail in the Mediterranean. Passengers can experience the Mediterranean life of the eastern Mediterranean, with the azure waters of the Aegean Sea and the Dalmatian coast. EXPLORA II sails on its first cruise from Barcelona to Civitavecchia (Rome), visiting Ibiza and Port-Vendres (France), picturesque Portofino (Italy), Monte-Carlo, Monaco and Port Santo Stefano (Italy). After that, the ship will continue to sail in the Western Mediterranean until November 2024. After that, the ship will cross the Atlantic Ocean. In the winter months, the ship will offer sun-drenched Caribbean voyages. (Photo: Explora Journeys).
