Corendon will offer Zanzibar as a winter sun destination again next winter season. The exotic island will be offered from 27 October to the end of March 2025 with direct flights from KLM. There are flights on Thursdays and Sundays from Schiphol. Zanzibar is located on the east coast of Africa, near mainland Tanzania. Corendon has put together a range of twelve hotels with four- and five-star accommodations. The care varies from bed and breakfast, bed and breakfast to all-inclusive. Zanzibar is becoming increasingly popular as a winter sun destination, says Corendon. The island has white sand beaches and clear blue waters and is perfect for snorkelers and divers. In addition, there is an abundance of nature and culture. In the Jozani Forest National Park, visitors can admire unique nature, including the rare red fringe monkey, which is only found in Zanzibar. For a cultural experience, a visit to Stone Town, the historic center of Zanzibar Town, is a must. This old town is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Kiwengwa Beach Resort, a 5-star hotel on the east coast of Zanzibar, has a range of facilities right on the beach. With two swimming pools, including one with salt water, an extensive wellness center, various sports activities and a kids’ club, relaxation is guaranteed, says Corendon. The resort, a 40-minute drive from Stone Town, offers views over the turquoise ocean and white sand beach.
