Darina Babilyuk is new Country Manager of Club Med Netherlands. Her appointment was announced Friday, but she moved to Amsterdam earlier this year. With her extensive experience and passion for the travel industry, Darina is a valuable asset to the team and the continued growth of Club Med in the Netherlands, Club Med said. Darina Babilyuk is a Ukrainian born in Kiev and holds a Master’s degree in Travel Management. Her career at Club Med began in 2010 as Sales Manager. In 2017, she was appointed Country Manager for Ukraine, where she had been responsible for sales and marketing for seven years at that time. In 2022, due to the war situation in Ukraine, Darina moved to Italy where she worked on an interim basis as marketing manager for Southern Europe, in addition to her role as Country Manager for Ukraine. In 2023, she was appointed Managing Director of Club Med Netherlands. Babilyuk nurtures great ambitions for the Netherlands and aims to position the brand as a symbol of inspiration and innovation in the world of luxury all-inclusive travel. And so far with success, reports Club Med. For 2024, under the inspired leadership of Darina Babilyuk, Club Med already achieved an 8 percent increase in sales compared to 2023, thanks mainly to popular ski destinations such as Les Arcs Panorama and Tignes, where Club Med opened a new resort in winter 2023. For 2023, Club Med Netherlands already achieved more sales at the end of the third quarter than in all of 2022. The travel company continues to sell last-minutes, fall vacations and Christmas travel. Darina Babilyuk wants to end the year with 11 percent growth over 2022. Club Med’s Amsterdam team now consists of 9 employees. Linda Kromhout, who has been working for Club Med for 24 years, will continue to be the face of Club Med for the travel industry in the Netherlands as Sales Manager.
