The warning strike by Lufthansa’s ground staff has only just ended and yet another strike is imminent. The Ufo cabin crew union has called on around 19,000 flight attendants of Lufthansa and Lufthansa Cityline to stop work on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesdays (from 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.), all departures from Frankfurt will be affected. On Wednesdays, this applies to all flights from Munich. It is not known what the consequences will be for flights to and from the Netherlands. According to the Lufthansa Group, the labor dispute for higher wages is being fought unnecessarily on the backs of passengers. The strike is expected to affect around 100,000 passengers. Lufthansa is currently investigating the impact on the flight schedule, German media report. In addition, the railway union in Germany has again called for a strike. The strike at Deutsche Bahn is scheduled for Tuesday, from 2:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday. At the end of last week, a strike by Lufthansa ground staff and Deutsche Bahn train drivers caused unrest among visitors to the ITB tourism fair in Berlin. Many visitors decided to leave the world’s largest tourism fair early on Wednesday. (Photo Shutterstock).
