Rotterdam The Hague Airport expects almost the same number of passengers this summer as last year. Between 13 July and 25 August, just over 370,000 passengers are expected, both departing and arriving. This equates to 2,610 flights, or an average of 58 flights per day, also departing and arriving. During this period, the airport expects the most passengers and the most air traffic on Fridays and Sundays. The peak day is expected on Friday 16 August, with around 9,500 passengers. Popular destinations include Malaga, Faro and Alicante. Airlines flying from Rotterdam include Transavia, British Airways, TUI, Pegasus, Corendon, SunExpress and Royal Air Maroc. Because the flight schedule during the summer holidays is similar to last year’s, no long waiting times are expected this year. Therefore, passengers are advised to arrive at the airport no earlier than two hours before departure. (Archive photo TravMagazine).
