The ANVR is concerned about the stability of the train connection to and from Schiphol. The immediate cause of the concern is the fact that train traffic between Amsterdam and Schiphol was halted on Wednesday morning due to a points failure. That was not the first time that a malfunction occurred. In recent weeks, there have been more long-term problems on the tracks around Schiphol, partly due to a signal failure and rust that had to be removed from the tracks at the airport. ANVR members are ‘frustrated and irritated’, says the trade association. The ANVR says it is concerned about accessibility during the upcoming May and summer holidays.
