The German Rail Drivers’ Union (GDL) has announced further strikes at Deutsche Bahn. The passenger transport strike will begin at 2:00 a.m. on Thursday. This means that there will be hardly any train traffic on Thursday and Friday. This will affect visitors to the ITB in Berlin, who want to take the train home from Thursday. The ITB will start on Tuesday. So there are no problems on the outward journey. The announced strike will last 35 hours. This is symbolic, as the union is demanding a 35-hour working week. In addition, Lufthansa’s ground staff has also announced that they will stop work on Thursday and Friday. It is not known which flights will be affected. (Photo Shutterstock).
