I can’t hear it anymore. A.I. Artificial Intelligence, Artificial intelligence in your mother tongue, although you often hear ‘artificial intelligence‘. But what good is a digital teacher if the world is still full of organic morons? The whole of Linkedin is full of them. Every business advice pipo shouts that you ‘have to do something with it’. Everyone is actually working on it. So do we. Perhaps this column was written by Chat GPT. Just a very short interlude: in French, you pronounce GPT as Sjee Pèhté, and that sounds like ‘j’ai pèté’ and that means ‘I farted’. I find that funny and hopefully enough proof that I am writing this column myself. Traditionally, the stubborn French will come up with their own word for it. CEO is called PDG, Aids Sida and as far as I have been able to find out, the French call AI ‘IA’, iiii aaaa. One minute at 700 Watts I mean, artificial intelligence is only as smart as the creator makes it but as valuable as the intelligence of the user. Artificial is artificial. It refers to something that is man-made, as opposed to something that occurs naturally. Let’s face it: every mobile phone already has the largest library in the world. However, it can’t happen that there are still plenty of people who bake oven baguettes in the microwave. To name just one example. Nor is AI going to prevent Donald Trump from being re-elected, and I suspect, abolishing the presidential term and adjusting the electoral system in such a way that he can Kim Jong Unnen until his death. I do not rule out civil war. You read it here first. Drone But to come to the conclusion: the term ‘AI’ completely misses the point. Well, no, man-made (dis)information and instructions that will make our lives even easier, only with robots and even more machines. This can work out well, for example in the medical world, but also malicious such as those cowardly army drones. As humanity as a whole, we will then roughly lose out, because we have been doing that since the internet. We can do little or nothing anymore. Navigating with an old oversized map? Hanging a painting? Want to make grandma’s pulled pork? Advice This innovation has little to do with true intelligence. And artificial/artificial also sounds confusing. As if something creative is involved somewhere. Well, no, until machines take over with their own intelligence (I estimate 2037) we have little to fear. Neither does the travel industry. Now that humans are becoming even more helpless, sincere advice and personal experience is once again crucial to explain where you can really travel beautifully, and how long the pulled pork should simmer.
