Liset Rodriguez recently joined the team of TRAVel Media, publisher of Travelpro and TravMagazine, among others. As a junior employee Marketing & Events, she succeeds Iris Bax. Liset, who grew up in Aruba, studied at InHolland in Rotterdam, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management. She also obtained a master’s degree in Tourism & Destination Management at Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUAS). Liset is involved in the organization of TRAVel Media’s own events, including the well-known Travel Gala and TravDay (twice a year). ‘I really enjoy the direct contact with our partners.’ When asked why she decided to study tourism, Liset says: ‘In Aruba you come into contact with tourism a lot. I found that so interesting that I wanted to delve into it. I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience. For my studies, I did research in Australia, Malaysia, Africa and Thailand, among other places. I now want to put my theoretical knowledge into practice.’
