Face2Face Travel Alliance BV is taken over by Sylvia Raijmakers. It will take over the shares of Takis Panagopoulos on 7 December. This means that Raijmakers owns 100 percent of the shares of Face2Face Travel Alliance. Takis Panagopoulos is founder (2007) and owner of Face2Face Travel. In April 2022, he already transferred 40 percent of the shares to Raijmakers. Sylvia Raijmakers, operational manager at Face2Face Travel since November 2022, says she looks to the future with confidence. She wants to continue the company’s position in the travel industry and is determined to continue the vision of Face2Face Travel. She has extensive experience in the travel industry and was previously at D-reizen, Vacansoleil and The Travel Club, among others. ‘I look forward to ensuring that Face2Face Travel remains a great organisation where travel agents feel comfortable and can develop as entrepreneurs,’ says Raijmakers. ‘The goal is to grow as an organisation, but still remain small-scale and family-oriented.’ There are currently 30 independent travel agents affiliated with Face2Face Travel. In the past financial year, the company says it has exceeded the turnover of the record year 2018/19. In the new current financial year, sales growth of almost 35 percent is currently being achieved. “We expect that in the 2023/24 financial year, consumers’ thirst to continue exploring the world will not be satisfied. We look forward to a successful partnership and thank Takis Panagopoulos for his commitment, passion and dedication. Thanks to Takis, Face2Face Travel has grown into a beautiful, successful and unique company in the travel industry.’ Takis Panagopoulos will continue to support Face2Face Travel until May 31, 2024. At the same time as the acquisition, a new branding will also be launched. A round logo has been chosen that represents the world. ‘This with the familiar colour green, which stands for nature and sustainability, in combination with the colour yellow, which stands for sun and energy, and blue, which stands for water and trust.’
