Under the motto ‘Visit Ukraine after victory’, the Ukrainian ANVR is participating in the upcoming Holiday Fair. The ANVR supports the initiative. Due to the European cooperation with other industry associations through the ECTAA (the European ANVR, ed.), ANVR has decided to support the initiative of its Ukrainian colleagues to promote their country for tourism after the victory. Thanks in part to the help of the business and industry partners, it has been possible to give the representatives from Ukraine a place during the upcoming Vakantiebeurs, which will take place from 11 to 14 January in the Jaarbeurs, during the first Dutch Travel Week. “The Ukrainian ANVR is having a hard time, but is showing enormous resilience and is trying in all kinds of ways to continue its work for the Ukrainian travel companies,” the ANVR said in an explanation. ‘If possible, they take part in meetings with their European colleagues in ECTAA and they also try to draw attention to Ukraine with the motto ‘visit Ukraine after victory’. This is to ensure that customers don’t forget how beautiful the country is. That’s why members of AITO (the Ukrainian trade association) recently attended the World Travel Market in London.’ Immediately the idea arose that it would be nice if representatives of the AITO could also participate in the Holiday Fair. To make this possible, the ANVR called on a number of business and industry partners who were willing to cooperate immediately and offered their help without hesitation. For example, NS International has covered the costs for a train return from Kiev to Warsaw, KLM has arranged return tickets Warsaw to Amsterdam and NH Hotel Utrecht will take care of the hotel stays during the event. Employees of the Dutch Travel Week arranged a stand and a place on one of the presentation stages, where visitors can receive more information about Ukraine as a holiday destination. The other costs will be taken over by the ANVR. ANVR director Frank Oostdam calls it ‘fantastic’ that the above-mentioned parties together make it possible for Ukrainian colleagues to participate in the Holiday Fair. ‘The stories told by the Ukrainian delegation show the enormous resilience and optimism of doing business against all odds. We therefore ask all visitors to stop by and give them a boost. They deserve our support in these difficult circumstances.” Travel industry peers can meet the Ukrainian representatives during the Travel Trade Day on 10 January, after which the traveller can meet them at the stand (in hall 9) during the exhibition days from 11 to 14 January. In the Europa Theatre in Hall 8 on the exhibition floor, they will also provide more information about Ukraine as a holiday destination every day at 11.30 am. (Photo Shutterstock).
