The participants of the ANVR Congress left from Schiphol Airport on Thursday morning for Oviedo in northern Spain. With 195 participants, this is the busiest ANVR congress within Europe ever.
Normally, the number of conference attendees is around 175, says communications manager Hanita van der Meer. A nice side effect is that good weather is expected in northern Spain in the coming days. Under the motto ‘Travel: Tradition in Transition’, the changing travel traditions will be discussed over the next four days. “The success of your company no longer depends only on the right product package, but also on the extent to which you are committed to the environment, your surroundings and what you do to get and keep the consumer involved with your brand,” says the ANVR. ́Especially if you look at the younger traveler, you see that they want to choose a company that is good for the planet, people and its employees. ́ In addition to a thorough conference program, the participants also have plenty of opportunity to explore the Asturias region, such as the cities of Oviedo, Gijon and Aviles. The congress will last until Sunday. Photo: Hanita van der Meer and Walter Schut welcomed conference attendees at Schiphol Airport.
