Corendon has shot a new in-flight safety video, starring well-known characters from comedian Jandino Asporaat such as Judeska, Sydney and baby Jason. The result is an eye-catching video to draw passengers’ attention to important flight safety instructions. In addition to Jandino’s types, Dutch celebrities John Williams, Rico Verhoeven, Wendy van Dijk, Everon Jackson Hooi, Liza Sips, Jasmine Sendar, Najib Amhali and Shirma Rouse will be featured. It also features well-known Curaçaoans such as Juni Juliet and Olympic athlete Liemarvin Bonevacia. Of course, Corendon founder Atilay Uslu is also not missing from the video. The six-minute video will be shown on direct flights between Amsterdam and Curaçao starting Nov. 3, for which an Airbus A350 will be used. In the video, Liza Sips and Jasmine Sendar explain all safety procedures in the capacity of purser and flight attendant. These instructions are interspersed with short scenes played by Jandino’s characters and Dutch and Curaçao celebrities. With the new video, Corendon wants to make the message that is often perceived as boring and already familiar more fun. But with emphasis on the fact that safety is always the top priority. The safety instructions are hard to get through and don’t grab attention,” comedian Jandino Asporaat says of this co-creation. ‘When the opportunity arose to make a flight safety video, I immediately knew how I would do it and with whom. One thing was certain: John Williams had to go in.’ Corendon wants customers to experience the Caribbean atmosphere on board the plane right away,’ says Atilay Uslu.
‘When Jandino presented me with this idea, I was immediately enthusiastic. It fits perfectly with the overall concept I had in mind. We had a lot of fun shooting and I can’t wait to see the reactions to the video on the first flight on board.” The trips to and from Curaçao are operated with an Airbus 350-900 from World2Fly. Personal entertainment systems are available on board and passengers can use Wi-Fi for an additional fee. There is also a special Only Adult zone for adults at the front of the plane, where passengers 16 and older can reserve a seat. With the 360 view, a passenger can easily pick a seat on the plane.
