TUI Group has achieved record sales in the third quarter.
\nFrom April to June 2024, the travel group achieved a turnover of 5.8 billion euros with 5.8 million guests.
\nTurnover is 9 percent higher than in the same period of the previous financial year (5.3 billion).
\nThe number of passengers was 4 percent higher.
\nEarnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose by 62 million euros to 232 million.
\nThat was in line with analysts’ expectations.
\nThis means that TUI Group’s operating profit increased for the eighth quarter in a row.
\nThe figures were presented on Wednesday.
\nTUI Group confirms its forecast for the full financial year: a turnover increase of at least 10 percent and a result (EBIT) of plus 25 percent.
\nCEO Sebastian Ebel signals strong demand for summer 2024, with 6 percent more bookings and 3 percent higher prices.
\nCurrently, 88 percent of the summer program has been sold.
\nThe bookings for winter 24\/25 look promising.
\n“By expanding our product portfolio, we are expanding our customer base and want to tap into new markets in Asia and America. TUI is thus expanding its global presence and is therefore less dependent on holiday times in Northwest and Central Europe.
