{"id":114565,"date":"2024-08-09T15:03:12","date_gmt":"2024-08-09T14:03:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.travmagazine.nl\/column-frank-radstake-young-anvr-is-the-future\/"},"modified":"2024-08-09T15:03:12","modified_gmt":"2024-08-09T14:03:12","slug":"column-frank-radstake-young-anvr-is-the-future","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.travmagazine.nl\/en\/column-frank-radstake-young-anvr-is-the-future\/","title":{"rendered":"Column Frank Radstake: Young ANVR is the future"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ANVR is an association, so for and by members.<br \/>\nAs with any association, the General Assembly is the highest body and most tasks and responsibilities are delegated by the members to the board.<br \/>\nThe day-to-day work is done by the team of dedicated professionals at the office in Leusden, supported by many committed industry employees in steering committees, committees and platforms.<br \/>\nThese platforms bring together travel companies that are active in the same (sub-)sector.<br \/>\nWe have quite a few platforms: business, retail, SME tour operators, adapted holidays and tour guides, among others.<br \/>\nThey meet regularly.<br \/>\nOne of the youngest platforms is Young ANVR: founded a few years before Covid, it offers ambitious young travel professionals the opportunity to work on a relevant network and to get acquainted with the work of the trade association in an accessible way.<br \/>\nThe story behind the establishment of Young ANVR is special.<br \/>\nA few years ago, the board wanted to invite the voice of young employees in the sector to the board table.<br \/>\nThat&#8217;s why we developed the Young Talent at the Table concept.<br \/>\nEvery year we invite one young travel professional to participate fully in the board.<br \/>\nThat first year, we immediately had so many applications that we wanted to look for a way to bind so many talented and enthusiastic people to the ANVR.<br \/>\nSee Young ANVR there.<br \/>\nBy the way, the Young Talent at the Table concept is a real hit.<br \/>\nIf you are younger than 40 and you do not already have a colleague on the ANVR board, you are already eligible.<br \/>\nAnd every year that results in a lot of very good applications.<br \/>\nWe really have something to choose from.<br \/>\nOver the past year, Nynke Hoogma of Better Places has fulfilled this role with verve.<br \/>\nAnd how nice it is to announce here that Sara Monnik van Sawadee will be her successor as of September 1st.<br \/>\nWe look forward to working with her.<br \/>\nWe expect the Young Talents at the Table not only to participate in the board, but also to be the driving force behind Young ANVR.<br \/>\nTogether with their colleague Chris, they organise inspiring meetings for young professionals a few times a year.<br \/>\nThis year, for example, about different generations in the workplace and about innovative business models.<br \/>\nOn average, between 25 and 35 participants attend.<br \/>\nVery nice of course, but there is really room for many more participants.<br \/>\nThe best thing would be if Sara&#8217;s successor next year comes from Young ANVR itself.<br \/>\nAnd who knows, maybe the participants of Young ANVR today will be the directors of the ANVR of tomorrow.<br \/>\nThen Young ANVR really has the future!<br \/>\nFrank Radstake <a href=\"mailto:frank@anvr.nl\">frank@anvr.nl<\/a>                            <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ANVR is an association, so for and by members.
