Despite competition from other spending options such as white goods and furniture, 57% of respondents say they want to spend their holiday money on travel.<\/p>\n<p>The online poll, conducted among almost 1000 Dutch people, shows that only 23% choose to put the money aside to save. In addition, 9% do not yet know how they will spend their holiday allowance and 11% will not receive any holiday pay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pressure to book summer holidays quickly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the summer holidays approaching, the urgency to book a holiday quickly is increasing. Due to the high demand from neighboring countries such as Germany, Belgium and the United Kingdom, favorite destinations are quickly fully booked.
