Johan Lundgren will step down as CEO of EasyJet in early 2025. He has been in that position since the end of 2017. The airline announced this on Thursday. Lundgren doesn’t seem intent on taking on a new position. He will officially retire on 1 January 2025 and will remain employed until May of that year to ensure a smooth transfer of his work. Lundgren will be succeeded as CEO by Kenton Jarvis, the current Chief Financial Officer at EasyJet. Lundgren, who previously worked at TUI Group, among others, led EasyJet through the corona crisis with a steady hand. He then set out the strategy for EasyJet, with the airline focusing on lucrative routes.
