Climate despondent might be a better word. I guess I&#8217;m not the only one. I think we&#8217;re a bit off the green path. What a circus it has become, on all sides. The lies, the greenwashing, the demonstrations, the egos. On the &#8216;green&#8217; side: who doesn&#8217;t get a little media about the efforts for a better environment. That&#8217;s what you want the world to know. Look at me being Che Guevara, I&#8217;ve been dragged away from the &#8216;Rebelelen&#8217; in front of the cameras of the NOS, you know, bored actresses and other influencers with rich daddies who almost from the media attention. In the evening we are free again, before the lampposts go on back home. <strong>Oscar-worthy <\/strong> Recently seen the pictures of Greta Thunberg being dragged away by the police. And the Oscar goes to&#8230; What a show, what a drama. If there was one thing I could tell from the picture was that Greta was really enjoying herself, she was the (re)Belle of the ball. And she knows it. She travels for these schnabbels by train, or by sailing yacht, with crew. The Swedish student grant will be higher than here. Well, that comes from lenders, including IT billionaires and anonymous multinationals. Wash your conscience with green soap because the phones are assembled in China, which is so environmentally friendly. And the cotton for our 73rd<sup>top in<\/sup> the closet comes from a rapidly deforested Brazilian rainforest. <strong>We need to do better<\/strong> The fact remains \u2013 one of the few \u2013 that things need to be better ecologically. Perhaps that can be done with common sense. Do not demonstrate on the A10, an important access route for the adjacent hospital, first aid and cancer centre. &#8216;<em>Sorry Mr. Pieterse, you&#8217;re not going to make it, the A10 is closed<\/em>&#8216;. There is also room for the ING office. The sad thing is that the self-righteous disgruntled tone of the A10-ers (pun intented), cycling race chainers and artwork stickers is completely counterproductive, I think. For every unique sympathizer they are likely to win with it, 100 moderate Dutch people from Kamp Rationaleel are going to make a shift to the (extreme) right. They&#8217;re fed up. Lose-lose. You didn&#8217;t think the election results were just about immigration, did you? <strong>Realistic<\/strong> Speaking of which. So it would also be nice if the next cabinet would also take a realistic look at Schiphol. No shrinkage, but a gradual and joint plan for a Schiphol 2.0. And in Brussels, they are calling for a kind of Delta Plan for &#8216;trains in the EU&#8217;. As long as we don&#8217;t have a good alternative, we would be crazy to deliberately and irreversibly degrade the economic lifeline &#8216;Dutch Aviation&#8217;. We don&#8217;t have to be the most well-behaved kid in the class now, if all parties work together to create the best green airport in Europe in the future.
