TUI, which currently has about 300 TUI travelers stuck in Dubai, which has been disrupted by severe weather, will use a pick-up flight with TUI fly to pick up passengers from TUI itself and from other travel organizations and bring them back to Amsterdam. The severe weather has disrupted both the city and air traffic. TUI has travellers in Dubai who either have to return to Amsterdam or have to travel on to their final destination, such as Thailand. Petra Kok says on behalf of TUI: ‘TUI’s passengers fly with Emirates, but Emirates has its hands full rebooking all stranded passengers. Some travelers stay at the airport, because transportation to a hotel was not possible. It’s a very undesirable situation.’
\nThe floods in Dubai have been declared a calamity<\/strong><\/a> by the Calamity Fund Travel. Actions have been initiated to bring back stranded passengers and TUI fly has been asked to use a pick-up flight to pick up passengers from TUI itself and from other travel companies and bring them back to Amsterdam. “The flight will depart as soon as Dubai is accessible again.
