President and CEO of Boeing Dave Calhoun today announced his decision to step down as CEO at the end of 2024. He will continue to lead Boeing throughout the year. He’s not the only one leaving the much-criticized aircraft manufacturer. Chairman Larry Kelner will step down in May and will be replaced by Steve Mollenkopf. Stan Deal, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, is leaving immediately. The reshuffle at the top is a direct result of a series of incidents that have caused a sharp decline in confidence in Boeing, both in the industry and among consumers. The latest incident involved Alaska Airlines. Quote<\/strong> “It has been the greatest privilege of my life to serve Boeing,” Calhoun said in a letter to employees.
