With the planting of a number of special palm trees, Corendon announced yesterday that it will donate 1 Antillean guilder per passenger to Cura\u00e7ao to H\u00f2fi Mango, a former plantation and now protected nature reserve on the island. The park purchased by Jandino Asporaat is not only a nature park, but also a location with the aim of improving the self-reliance of the residents of Cura\u00e7ao. With this collaboration, Corendon not only wants to emphasize its commitment to the local community, but also help to preserve the natural environment of the island. With the annual donation, H\u00f2fi Mango can expand and further develop the park. The money will be used, among other things, for the maintenance and planting of native trees and plant species in the park. “Cura\u00e7ao is a beautiful island and we want to contribute to the sustainable development of the destination in this way,” said Atilay Uslu, founder of Corendon. \u0301H\u00f2fi Mango is an interesting attraction for our customers. They can learn about the history of the island and about the value of the special nature here. At the same time, the park is a breeding ground for economic development for local residents, with training for gardeners, school programs and plans for growing and selling fruit and vegetables. We are looking forward to a – literally – fruitful collaboration with Jandino and his H\u00f2fi Mango. \u0301 Corendon also encourages its passengers to contribute voluntarily. This can be done during a visit to the park or via the website of H\u00f2fi Mango (hofimango.com). Corendon started its own flights between Schiphol and Cura\u00e7ao last week. Corendon now flies three times a week between Amsterdam and the popular holiday island. From 15 December, the number of flights will be increased to five times a week.
