Garuda Indonesia has made sustainable strides. The airline, in collaboration with Pertamina and fully supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Indonesian Ministry of Transport and the research team at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), has completed a study with bio-aircraft fuels included in the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) classifications. The completion of the trial was marked by the completion of a test flight on a Garuda Indonesia B737-800NG, with CFM56-7B aircraft engines through a flight from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to the Pelabuhan Ratu Airspace Area. Earlier, on the same day, the J2.4 bio aviation fuel test had also undergone a serial test of Engine Ground Run procedures with the same fleet at the Garuda Maintenance Facility (GMF) Aero-Asia. The completion of this test flight using renewable energy is part of the preparation of the SAF roadmap with cooperation between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Transport, the Oil and Gas Institute (Lemigas), the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS), the ITB research team, the Indonesian Association of Biofuel Producers (APROBI) and other relevant stakeholders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
