About thirty colleagues from the travel industry attended the informative information evening of Korean Air and Incheon Airport on Thursday evening in the stylish On the Rock restaurant in Aalsmeer. An evening full of practical information accompanied by an excellent dinner. The majority of those present appear to have not yet become acquainted with Korean Air. Hassan Semmad (Sales Manager Korean Air) is happy to update them during his presentation about the airline. “Yes, indeed,” he says with a laugh; call it old-fashioned, but Korean Air still works with a winter and a summer schedule. The flying behaviour of the Koreans is simply seasonal. In the winter, people like to go to Oceania, in the summer Europe is more on the agenda.’ Travel is done in one of the 133 aircraft, whose flights from Amsterdam are operated with a 777-300ER divided into a First Class, where privacy is key, Business Class in a 1-2-1 configuration so that you never have to climb over your fellow passenger to reach the aisle and you spend the journey full flat on the long-haul flight to arrive in Seoul well-rested. Economy Class passengers, Korean Air has no intermediate classes, are also more than fine with 87 centimeters of legroom. ‘Good to know,’ Hassan Semmad continues his presentation; ‘You can always book a waiting list with us, which usually comes after 12 noon. And, he says, ‘we are perhaps one of the few carriers still using free seating, and that also applies to the seats near the emergency exit. I still do,” he adds. The fleet will continue to expand after the merger with Asiana Airlines, which is also Korean.
\nIncheon Airport, a destination in itself <\/strong>The international airport in Seoul, Incheon Airport, is a five-star airport. A hub ideal for a stop or stopover to numerous destinations in Asia or Oceania. Feel free to set aside some time before traveling on, then, is the credo. The airport treats travelers to comfortable rest rooms, Internet and relaxation areas, a place to take a nap and even showers to start the transit journey refreshed. Those with more time take advantage of the free tours or one of the many interesting stopover packages. For those who want to catch their connecting flight immediately, this takes less than an hour, the minimum connecting time is only 45 minutes. In addition to the dinner, the attendees were treated to a raffle with great prizes and no one went home empty-handed, as a goodie bag was ready for everyone.
